Lock Down News 30-04-20

Well it’s been a while since I posted anything due to the lockdown.

Obviously, we have lost round 2 at the Grange this weekend, which is a big shame as the Telford MXC have done a shed full of work on the circuit and we were looking forward to returning there.

We will be looking at the government and motorsports governing bodies advice, which is likely to be next Thursday May 7, but it does not look encouraging, with the social distancing having to continue for some time yet. And as we all know it takes more than one to fix a Maico in the paddock.

If the government eventually relaxes the lockdown, and allows mass gatherings, it still does not allow for things like first aid provisions, signing on, accidents, spectators etc so I cannot really give you any good news.

Round 3 was to be Bevercotes on May 24, and the AMCA will also make a decision next week.

We may lose most of the series to this virus, but the safety of everyone is paramount, and if we come out of this and there is room for the odd event in late summer we may try and get a couple sorted.

With regards to registrations, if we do not run any event this season, we will roll over to 2021, or you can request a refund by sending me a PM.

Please keep up the good work and stay safe and we hope to see you soon.
